Consecration of Mathews Mar Athanasius Metropolitan Mar Thoma XIII (23 Apr.1818 - 15 Jul.1877). Mathews Mar Athanasius, Palakunnathu, Maramon was the nephew of the reformation leader Abraham Malpan (1796-1845). His first teacher was the famous Christian poet “Chekottu Aasan”.
