The Mar Thoma Church was honored by the State of New York Senate by passing on the Legislative Resolution on its commemoration of the 183rd Anniversary of Reformation. The Citation was awarded to Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philoxenos Episcopa on May 22, 2019 at the Senate Hall in Albany. The Senate Session for the day started with the Opening Address and prayer by Thirumeni, followed by the presentation and passing of Resolution in the Senate. A special word of appreciation to Senator Kevin Thomas for initiating this citation for the Mar Thoma Church. Thirumeni appreciated the contribution rendered by Senator Kevin Thomas for the Society, State and Country.
Acknowledging the contributions rendered to the Society and country by the Keralite’s, the Senate also declared May as the Heritage month for Malayalee in the State of New York.
